“Not all of those who wander are lost” — J.R.R. Tolkien

Some Scary 🙈 Statistics

According to the United States State Department only 36% of Americans own a valid passport, which means that 64% of people of the richest country in the world have never been abroad.

This is troubling! 😞

I am sure that my readers travel a lot, because all of you are super productive!

Today, in this special edition of Productivity Hacks, that I write from a sunny Italy 🇮🇹 (by the way picture in the header is from my trip ) we will talk about travel hacks.

I want to share with you 1 tip, 1 tool and 1 video that will help you with your travels!

Lets do it!

Tip: When travelling — always use local sim card 📱

Roaming is a very expensive thing, especially mobile internet.

The problem is, that without internet on your phone, whole travelling becomes very hard — no way to find cool restaurants (I use FourSquare everywhere I go), use real-time GPS navigation while driving (I use Waze), back up photos to cloud (I backup my phone photos to Google Photos) etc.

The best way to have cellular internet is to buy a local pre-paid sim card. It is easy to say, however, finding local provider can be challenging!

Don’t worry, I have a solution for you — this amazing website provides a list of pre-paid sim card providers all over the world (try it, you will thank me!).

Tool: Priority Pass Card 💳

For those of you who fly frequently, I highly recommend getting a Priority Pass Card. This card allows you to access airport lounges that provide food, free internet, shower and other amenities usually available only to a first/business class passengers.

I have been using Priority Pass for about 8 years now, and It totally changed the way I travel.

In such places as Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), where daily temperatures are very high, and airport does not have air conditioning system (it is an open air airport), having a lounge access with an air conditioner is a life saver!

Also, while many European airports does not have free wifi access, lounges always have free wifi. Though quality of the lounges vary greatly, from a tiny lounge with little amenities in Tel Aviv airport, to a state of the art lounge in Brussels, all of them provide travel necessities such as food, washrooms, wifi and a comfortable seating.

It is possible to buy Priority Pass from their website, or you also can get one free, if you subscribe to a certain credit card (I got mine with Amex).

If you want to get more info on Priority Pass, here is a good read.
